1. Suites Las Vistas: terraces over the sea at Son Bou
Suites Las Vistas is an apartment complex on Passeig del Prat, a five-minute walk from Son Bou beach. The terraces and balconies have glass panels that frame the sea, and some apartments also have a small private pool, on top of the shared one with its sun terrace.
Inside, the kitchen is open to the living room, with a breakfast bar, a dishwasher, an oven and a Nespresso machine; there is a washing machine too. The living room has a 40-inch TV and a games console, and the bedrooms have air conditioning and a double bed. Bikes can be hired, and Mahón port and the airport are about twenty kilometres away.

Nure Cel Blau is a small complex near Cap d’Artrutx, at the south-western tip of the island. The apartments are in white buildings in the traditional Menorcan style, with arches and furnished terraces opening onto the lawn, the pool or, from some of them, the sea.
Inside there is a fan, a TV and an equipped kitchenette; parking is free and some units are designed for wheelchair users. Apartamentos Playa Calan Blanes is a small complex of single-storey bungalows, each with a furnished porch facing the pool or the garden, in the centre of Cala en Blanes. The beach is three hundred metres away, and supermarkets, restaurants and bars are a five-minute walk.
The interiors are simple, with tiled floors: a living room with a TV and a sofa bed and a kitchen with a microwave, hob and fridge. Ciutadella is 3 km away and buses stop near the apartments, so you can do without a car; free parking is available in the surrounding streets.

ARTIEM Urban Apartamentos is the only town address in this selection: it is on Carrer Miguel de Veri, in Mahón, 1.2 km from the port. Instead of a pool in the garden there is an indoor pool, a fitness room and a sauna, and reception is open day and night.

Comitas Isla del Aire is a four-star residence in Punta Prima, in the municipality of Sant Lluís, 400 metres from Punta Prima beach. The sand-coloured buildings surround a large seasonal pool, with a garden, terrace, bar and restaurant.
Each apartment is air-conditioned and has a kitchen with a dining table, satellite TV and a bathroom with a bidet. A buffet breakfast can be added, and for children there is a play area. Which area to choose for an apartment in Menorca
The Ciutadella coast offers the most choice: five apartments on this list are between Cala Morell, Cala Blanca, Cala en Blanes and Cap d’Artrutx, and from there buses run into town and to the south-western coves.
