Breakfast can be buffet, à la carte or continental, there is a kitchen for guests to use, a tour desk and luggage storage. Pets are allowed on request, and a charge may apply: it is best to say so in the booking. The airport is 6 km away and Es Grau beach 9 km.

Hotel Agamenón is a four-star hotel on the southern shore of the port of Mahón, in Es Castell: from the pool, the garden and the terraces of the rooms you look out over the harbour and the Illa del Rei, and there is even a private jetty for boats. It has a buffet and à la carte restaurant, a café, a poolside snack bar, room service, a meeting room and car hire.
The private car park has thirteen spaces, so it is worth asking for one when you book. Pets are allowed, here too with no conditions stated on the listing: the surcharge has to be asked of the hotel. The seafront of Es Castell, with the restaurants of Cales Fonts, is a short walk away.

Before you book with a dog
Three things to do before you confirm. The first is to write in your request that you are travelling with a pet, with its size and weight: almost all these places accept pets “on request”, which means they reserve the right to say no, and the surcharge, when it is not stated like the 30 euros a night at the Villas del Lago, is up to them.
